Yuriy Klapoukh was born on March 12, 1963, in the city of Uman, Cherkasy Oblast. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the Kharkiv Higher Military Aviation Engineering School, majoring in “Aircraft and Power Plants.” His archive contains many works in various genres, but his main focus is on classical realist landscapes and portraits, as well as genre scenes depicting rural life.
Creative Career Yurii Klapoukh’s creative journey began in the mid-1980s. Having transitioned from a military career to that of an artist, over 25 years of creative work have enabled him to gain international recognition. Many of Yurii Klapoukh’s works are held in private collections around the world: in the United States, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, and elsewhere.
The artist’s work is rooted in the finest traditions of realistic and romantic world painting.
